From dawn to dusk, the exceptional light that shines here has inspired so many artists, writers, painters and film-makers… Sportsmen, researchers, scientists and great sailors have all taken it with them. In the evening, behind the purple and indigo Maures, sunsets flood the bay with purple, gold and delicate pinks, spread out in a thousand senseless shades. This shifting palette lights up the tiles and steeples of our villages with stars. It’s easy to fall in love.
